Dear Administrator and Staff,

Oakland Park School of Technology’s Childhood Development Associate (CDA) department is accepting applications for the next class, Oct. 18, 2014 – Feb. 7, 2015.  The hours were INCREASED from 85 to 117+3=120, because we added MAKE-UP WORK to the 16 Week Program, and the students will receive 2 POINTS EXTRA for each week’s assignment. PLUS 3 POINTS FOR PERFECT ATTENDANCE. These changes were made to enhance the knowledge of our students. They will receive 32 Extra Points toward their 120 Former Training which is needed. WHAT’S NEW? We have our own CDA Specialist; who comes to O.P.ST and check bounders before she does the Observation. Also, if you need In-service classes we have that service too. This course is for any childcare providers, Day Care Providers, Certified Typed B Home Providers, and Family Child Centers.

Classes are offered on Saturday 9:00am 2:00pm for 16 weeks. Upon completion of the course each student will receive their Certificate of Completion from Oakland Park School of Technology, but the students will receive their Associate Credentials from the National Council for Professional Recognition of the State of Ohio.

You can apply for the $375.00 Scholarship Grant offered by the state of Ohio, a student has to pay $50.00. The Scholarship Grant will assist the students in achieving their CDA Associate Credentials from the National Council for Professional Recognition, but does not include the fees for O.P.S.T.  When the students receive their CDA Degrees they will receive $100.00 gift from the State of Ohio.

We will assistance the students with their selecting their PD Specialist and the testing site for all students. This course will cover the eight former training courses you need are included in the CDA book.

Thank you,

Mrs. Katherine Butler, CEO
